Wonderful visit
My wife and I finished our stay at the Forbes Arms on Aug. 25, 2010...... What a wonderful visit! We came from Pennsylvania in the US in search of our ancestors.... they were shoemakers in Rothiemay in the 1700'S! We found them! Comfortable accomodations, great food, and nice people..... we found all in Rothiemay! Thank you to Tom and Caroline!

My husband and I stayed at The Forbes Arms earlier this year and are looking forward to another visit in November.... we are not worried about the weather because the warmth of the welcome from Caroline and Tom will more than compensate for whatever happens; we enjoyed our accomodation in the little cottage, we thoroughly enjoyed the food which was great value for money as well as delicious; as newcomers to the area we had lots of questions, all were answered knowledgeably and- now we're neighbours we can look foward to many more visits - we're very lucky!!!

Our stay at the hotel
My son and I stayed at the Forbes for three nights in June. The Proprieters were so easy to talk to and nothing was too much bother. They were friendly and the meals were so tasty and not expensive. The accomodation was really clean and comfortable though don't be put off by the look of the outside of the hotel. Tom, the owner, said that the outside would hopefully be improved in the near future. Overall a nice friendly place to stay at reasonable prices. I can recommend it.

Visit to Forbes Arms, September 2009
It was a pleasure to stay for a few days at the Forbes Arms recently in the welcoming en suite accomodation. Very friendly overall atmosphere and peaceful setting with superb views over the river Deveron. Great host and staff with superb range of food in the restuarant complemented by the welcoming lounge bar where we sampled many single malts and a first rate ale selection . Excellent access to the countryside around and sporting activities such as golf and fishing etc. Thoroughly recommend.

Welcome to the Forbes Arms Guestbook
It is a while since I have stayed in the Hotel but I can thoroughly recommend the Food and Drink - especially the Real Ale.
